Overview

The Master of Arts (MA) in Political Science is offered by the Social Science Department.  This degree strongly emphasizes research and analysis in political science, administrative theory, and governmental institutions as preparation for those students planning additional graduate study at the doctoral level.

Program Level Student Learning Outcomes

The student will be able to:

  • Demonstrate mastery of the literature of political science, including the most recent scholarly research.
  • Demonstrate mastery of the methodology of political science.
  • Master the research skills necessary for making original contributions to the discipline of political science.

Entry Requirements

Students will be admitted into the MA Political Science program by the faculty once the following application criteria are met:

  • Successful admission to graduate school.
