Student Financial Assistance

A&M-Central Texas offers student financial assistance in the form of loans, grants, and scholarships. Financial assistance resources from the university should be viewed only as supplementary to the financial resources of the applicant and family.  Graduate School students are only eligible for student loans, certain grants, and scholarships.

To apply for financial aid, a student must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at To determine your eligibility for need-based aid, we take into consideration the cost of attendance (COA) and your expected family contribution (EFC) as determined by the federal government from the information you provided on the FAFSA.

Priority Dates

To receive maximum consideration for financial assistance, your FAFSA information must be received by the institution prior to March 15 for the upcoming academic year.  To ensure timely awarding in advance of the respective semester, FAFSA information and all requested documentation should be submitted prior to the following priority dates:

  • Summer semester: April 1st
  • Fall semester: June 1st
  • Spring semester: November 1st
